Algeria’s Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, announced on Thursday that the national recruitment competition for Algeria Post will take place before the end of this month.
“The recruitment competition for Algeria Post will be held before the end of this month,” Zerrouki confirmed during a public session of the National Assembly.
Responding to an oral question during the session, the minister emphasised that “all measures have been taken into account with the aim of holding a competition according to exceptional standards.”
On June 24, Algeria Post announced in a previous statement that it had decided to “open additional financial positions, in addition to those previously announced, representing an increase of more than 50 percent over the initial number of positions.”
According to the same statement, Algeria Post explained that the decision was driven by “employment needs at the corporate level and its commitment to providing more opportunities for candidates.”
The statement added that “the institution is currently working to complete the regulatory procedures for the new positions, as well as the technical measures related to the digital recruitment platform.”
It went on to reaffirm Algeria Post’s commitment to “adopting a digital approach to recruitment processes, which promotes the principles of transparency, integrity, and equal opportunity for all candidates.”
The national recruitment competition, initially planned for earlier this year, was postponed on May 31 due to “technical disruptions to the competition’s digital platform.”
Following the postponement, Minister Zerrouki took firm action by suspending three officials from the ministry and Algeria Post who were “direct supervisors of the digital competition.”
The upcoming competition marks a major step for Algeria Post in advancing its digital recruitment system while addressing the increasing demand for employment opportunities across the country.
