In Ivory Coast, political donor Adama Touré, popularly known as ‘Binguiste’, has pledged support to upgrade the facilities of the presidential party’s headquarters in Oumé, reflecting the growing participation of local activists and members.
According to the donor’s spokesperson, Diakité Mousty, the initiative aims to improve reception facilities and ensure the headquarters can accommodate the increasing number of attendees at party events. “He is fully playing his part in promoting the RHDP,” Diakité said, highlighting the importance of backing local leaders in strengthening party infrastructure.
The donation has been welcomed by Senator Fatouma Sangaré, who represents the Oumé commune for the RHDP. Speaking on behalf of party activists in her constituency, she described the support as “added value” to the Houphouëtists’ achievements in the region.
The senator emphasised that investments like this are vital for maintaining the momentum of party activities and fostering engagement among local members.
This contribution further reinforces the equipment and capacity of the newly inaugurated RHDP headquarters in Oumé, which officially opened on Saturday, 12 November 2022. The upgraded facilities are expected to serve as a hub for party operations, enabling more efficient organisation of political events, meetings, and community outreach programmes.
Observers note that such donations play a strategic role in consolidating party presence at the local level, particularly in regions where active engagement and mobilisation of members are key to electoral success. By supporting infrastructure improvements, donors like Touré help ensure that political parties can maintain operational efficiency while accommodating a growing base of supporters.
As the RHDP continues to expand its activities across Ivory Coast, the upgrade of the Oumé headquarters highlights the ongoing collaboration between local leaders and supporters to strengthen party structures and enhance the political experience for members and constituents alike.
