The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has forecast hot and humid conditions across much of the country on Sunday, marking the final 48 hours of the summer season.
According to the EMA, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and northern Upper Egypt will experience hot and humid daytime weather, while southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai are set to face very hot conditions.
Temperatures are expected to ease into the evening, with hot and humid weather continuing until late night before becoming moderate in most regions.
The authority also reported a chance of light rainfall in parts of the northern coast, northern Lower Egypt, and Halayeb City.
Winds will be active in South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, raising intermittent dust storms in Halayeb.
Maritime conditions in the Gulf of Suez will be moderate to rough, with wave heights ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters accompanied by northwesterly winds.
The forecast underscores the seasonal transition, as Egyptians prepare for the official end of summer and the arrival of autumn later this week.
