
Libya’s national Kyokushinkai team has secured a remarkable victory at the international championship held in Mahdia, Tunisia, claiming a total of 40 medals in one of its most impressive regional performances to date.
The tournament, which concluded at dawn on Monday, brought together fierce competitors from Tunisia, Algeria, Zambia and Poland, creating a highly competitive atmosphere that tested the skill and resilience of every participant.
Libya’s delegation emerged as a dominant force, winning 13 gold, 17 silver and 10 bronze medals across various categories. The achievement is being celebrated as a significant milestone in the country’s martial arts scene and a testament to the dedication of its athletes.
Among the gold medalists were Ahmed Gamal Al-Tihami, Ali Ahmed Al-Qarbouli, Idris Khaled Al-Shahibi, Mohamed Mahmoud Zoubi, Mohammed Abdel Salam Al-Mahshash, Baraa Abdel Salam Al-Nayli, Yazan Sultan Al-Saiti, Yazan Boubaker Al-Tarqi, Zinedine Boubacar El Targui, Khaled Muftah Boubaker, Muhammad Raouf Al-Mahdawi, Youssef Raouf Al-Mahdawi and Awad Osama Basikri.
The event not only highlighted individual excellence but also showcased Libya’s growing presence in the international Kyokushinkai arena.
