Eswatini’s International Trade Fair continued to draw large crowds on its seventh day at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, combining business, cultural, and leisure experiences for thousands of visitors.
Organisers confirmed that more than 200 international tourists attended, exploring exhibitions, cultural performances, and local food stalls. The event has become a prominent showcase for Eswatini’s diverse offerings, attracting both domestic and international participants.
Government ministries maintained a strong presence throughout the day, using the fair as a platform to engage directly with the public on services and initiatives. The Ministry of Health reported providing healthcare services to over 1,000 attendees, including blood pressure screenings, HIV testing, and eye examinations.
A spokesperson emphasised that the initiative aimed to bring essential services closer to citizens while raising awareness about preventive health measures.
Business-focused seminars and workshops on entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and regional trade opportunities continued to attract young entrepreneurs and business owners. Local companies displayed products and services spanning agriculture, finance, manufacturing, and technology, highlighting the nation’s economic diversity and innovation.
Leisure activities also played a central role, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere for families. Children’s games, live music, and traditional cultural displays kept visitors entertained throughout the day, while tourism operators showcased destinations across Eswatini.
Several lodges reported bookings from tourists looking to extend their stay, underlining the event’s impact on the hospitality sector.
Officials from the Eswatini Tourism Authority said the strong turnout of international visitors demonstrated the fair’s growing regional and global appeal. “This event is both a business platform and an entry point for visitors to experience the Kingdom,” one official commented, highlighting the dual role of the fair as a commercial hub and cultural showcase.
As the trade fair progresses, organisers hope to build on the success of previous days, combining commerce, culture, and community engagement to strengthen Eswatini’s profile as a destination for both investment and tourism.
