Ivory Coast is celebrating an exceptional educational milestone in the village of Assuamakro. The public primary school of Assuamakro has reported a 100% success rate in this year’s sixth-grade entrance examinations, marking the second consecutive year that all students from the CM2 class have passed.
All 31 students enrolled in the CM2 class were admitted, building on the previous year’s success and demonstrating a dramatic rise from 63% in 2023. This achievement has drawn praise from the Association of Friends of Assuamakro (3A), which has actively supported educational initiatives in the village.
“This result reflects the impact of the actions carried out over the past three years to promote academic excellence in Assuamakro,” said Dongo Kouamé Badou Fidèle, president of the 3A. The association has organized awareness sessions, free reinforcement classes, and provided school kits, while also covering certain school-related expenses.
To celebrate the achievement, the 3A association distributed school kits to the newly admitted sixth-grade students and pledged to cover their registration fees, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their continued education.
Established in 2023, the 3A association focuses on fostering the educational and professional development of Assuamakro’s youth. By investing in both resources and mentorship, the organisation aims to nurture future leaders and support the long-term development of the village.
The remarkable performance of Assuamakro’s students underscores the effectiveness of community-driven educational support and highlights the potential of targeted initiatives to boost academic outcomes in rural areas. For the villagers and the association alike, this perfect success rate is both a cause for celebration and a reaffirmation of their commitment to promoting excellence in education.
With continued efforts, the model established in Assuamakro could serve as a blueprint for improving educational results across other regions of Ivory Coast, showing how local initiatives can complement national education policies and create lasting impact.
