Chadian ministers Kitoko Gata Ngoulou and Zara Mahamat Issa have pledged to strengthen cooperation between their respective ministries to enhance social impact across the country.
On Friday, August 22, 2025, the Minister of State for Women and Early Childhood, Kitoko Gata Ngoulou, met with her counterpart from Social Action, Solidarity and Humanitarian Affairs, Zara Mahamat Issa.
The meeting, described by Ms. Kitoko as “fruitful,” focused on improving coordination and creating a strategic synergy between their departments.
The ministers agreed to pool their expertise, particularly in social and human resource initiatives, with the aim of amplifying the reach and effectiveness of government programs for citizens. By combining efforts, they hope to address pressing social challenges more efficiently and improve the delivery of services to vulnerable populations.
“This collaboration is essential to ensure that our actions complement each other and bring tangible benefits to the people,” Ms. Kitoko said.
The initiative aligns with President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno’s broader vision for integrated governance, which prioritizes the coordination of ministries in tackling social and humanitarian issues. Both ministers emphasized that the partnership would focus on practical measures, including joint programs for women, children, and communities in need, as well as the development of frameworks for better monitoring and evaluation of social interventions.
Officials from both ministries highlighted that this strategic alignment marks a significant step toward a more cohesive approach to social policy in Chad. By fostering collaboration at the ministerial level, the government hopes to create a stronger, more responsive network of programs capable of addressing the country’s diverse social needs.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to regular consultations and the establishment of joint working groups to ensure that initiatives are effectively coordinated and delivered in line with national priorities.
