The Egyptian-Chinese University is set to host Egypt’s first scientific conference dedicated to equine medicine, bringing together international experts, researchers, and veterinary professionals.
Scheduled for August 23 and 24, 2025, the event is organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in partnership with the Arab Equine Veterinarians Association (AEVA).
The conference combines academic presentations with practical sessions, adhering to international standards in veterinary education.
Ayman Najm, reporting from Cairo, notes that the event will feature six lecturers specializing in various aspects of equine care, including internal medicine, surgery, lameness diagnosis, reproductive system diseases, emergency medicine, nutrition, and overall veterinary care.
Participants will include veterinary students, equine doctors, and researchers eager to exchange expertise and practical experiences.
“The conference represents a pioneering scientific and educational platform aimed at enhancing specialized veterinary education and developing clinical and cognitive skills in this delicate field,” the university said in a statement.
It aims to provide attendees with direct interaction with specialists, hands-on training, and insights from real-life case studies.
The conference also forms part of the Egyptian-Chinese University’s broader strategy to strengthen academic and research cooperation with professional institutions, positioning Egypt as a regional hub for veterinary education and equine science research.
Alongside the lectures, an exhibition will showcase leading pharmaceutical products, veterinary equipment, and feed solutions for horses, providing participants with an opportunity to explore innovations in the field.
By combining international expertise with practical training, the Egyptian-Chinese University seeks to reinforce its role as a leading institution in veterinary education while contributing to the advancement of equine medicine across the Middle East and North Africa.
