
Mohamed Abdel Latif, Egypt’s Minister of Education and Technical Education, welcomed the top-performing students from the Nile Egyptian International Schools for the 2024/2025 academic year at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital on Wednesday.
The event celebrated academic excellence and highlighted the ministry’s commitment to nurturing gifted students.
During the ceremony, Minister Abdel Latif offered his heartfelt congratulations to the students, describing them as “an honorable model of a conscious and hardworking generation capable of contributing to Egypt’s future renaissance.”
He emphasised the importance of a supportive educational environment that enables talented students to reach their full potential.
“The Ministry of Education places great importance on nurturing gifted and talented students,” he said. “I call on all students to use their excellence as motivation to continue striving for excellence, as the nation needs a conscious, educated, and dedicated generation.”
The Minister also spoke with students about their ambitions and professional goals, urging them to remain determined and resilient. “Always strive for the top, be persistent in achieving your dreams, and do not allow any challenges to stand in your way,” he advised. He assured students that the ministry would continue to support them, providing the necessary opportunities and guidance to help them build a bright future.
Top students were recognised with certificates of appreciation and symbolic prizes. Among the highest achievers were Nour Wael Ali Qotb from Minya Branch, who secured first place, followed by Reem Amr Abdel Hamid from Qena Branch and Salma Ahmed Hossam El-Din from Port Said Branch. The ceremony honoured a total of ten students from multiple branches, including Minya, Qena, Port Said, Shorouk, October, and Obour.
The Nile Egyptian International Schools award two certificates accredited by the University of Cambridge and the Ministry of Education. The Nile International Preparatory Certificate is awarded upon completion of basic education, while the pre-university certificate is granted at the end of twelfth grade, qualifying students for admission to universities both in Egypt and abroad.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials including Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister; Brigadier General Tarek El-Baz, Head of the Central Administration for Educational Centers; Dr. Amani El-Far, CEO of the Egyptian Company for Educational Management; and Dr. Ramadan Farid, Academic Director of the Nile Schools.
