Gabonese U20 international Philippe Ndinga Ossibadjouo has signed a four-year deal with Swedish side Degerfors IF after impressing during a trial period.
The 20-year-old central defender, who trained in France and played in the National 1 league, will remain with the club until 2029.
His move marks his first venture into the Allsvenskan, Sweden’s top football division, which is widely regarded as a strong platform for young talents seeking international recognition.
Ndinga’s performances during his trial convinced Degerfors’ technical staff that he could strengthen their back line.
Renowned for his defensive solidity and commitment, he is expected to play a crucial role in the club’s battle for survival.
Degerfors currently sit 15th in the league table — second from bottom — with just nine matches left to secure their place in the Allsvenskan next season. The club hopes that Ndinga’s arrival will bring renewed energy and resilience to a struggling squad.
“This championship is renowned for offering a great showcase to ambitious young players, allowing them to progress and gain international recognition,” the club said in a statement.
For Ndinga, the move represents both a major career challenge and a valuable opportunity to prove himself at the highest level of Swedish football.
