In a heartfelt gesture of community solidarity, the Bogodogo Islamic Holiday Camp has stepped forward to support the Faso Mêbo presidential initiative with a donation of five bags of cement, reinforcing the spirit of civic engagement among its youth participants.
This year marks the 20th edition of the camp, which gathered 123 young settlers alongside 35 supervisors to actively participate in Faso Mêbo activities.
Their visit on Thursday was not merely symbolic but deeply educational, as they immersed themselves in understanding the importance of collective efforts in national development.
“We are here to make a donation, but also to help the children understand how this initiative works and how we can all contribute to building the country,” explained Abdoulaye Nyampa, the camp’s general director.
True to its Islamic roots, the camp commenced its involvement with prayers and blessings for the continued success of Faso Mêbo before presenting a tangible gift to aid ongoing projects.
Beyond the donation, the participants lent their hands to fieldwork, actively contributing labor and enthusiasm.
Mr Nyampa highlighted that this experience is designed to nurture a sense of responsibility and civic duty among the youth.
“This involvement demonstrates the willingness of young settlers to engage in concrete civic actions, while strengthening their learning and their sense of duty towards the community.”
The initiative echoes a broader call for youth to move beyond passive observation to active participation in nation-building efforts.
By intertwining educational experience with practical support, the Bogodogo camp’s contribution exemplifies how young citizens can become pillars of progress in Burkina Faso’s social and economic landscape.
